Day 1: Zanzibar to Mafia Island – Snorkeling & Whale Sharks

Early morning pickup from your Zanzibar hotel and transfer to Zanzibar Airport for a scenic flight to Mafia Island (approx. 30 minutes). Upon arrival at Mafia Airport, our guide will greet you and transfer you to the beach. After a brief orientation, board a traditional boat for a snorkeling safari in the Mafia Island Marine Park. Explore vibrant coral reefs teeming with tropical fish, sea turtles, and if you're visiting between October and March, swim with magnificent whale sharks. Enjoy a freshly prepared seafood lunch on a sandbank or local island. In the afternoon, visit Chole Island for a walking tour of the historic ruins, including the old mosque and colonial buildings. Later, check into your beach bungalow and enjoy a relaxing evening with dinner at the lodge.

Day 2: Beach Relaxation & Return to Zanzibar

Wake up to the sound of the ocean and enjoy breakfast at your lodge. Spend the morning at leisure – swim in the turquoise waters, sunbathe on the powder-soft sand, or explore the nearby fishing village. Optional: book an additional snorkeling trip or scuba dive (extra cost). After lunch, transfer to Mafia Airport for your return flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport for onward travel.
